black friday from home

First off I just have to let RAC’s husband know that if he wants any tips on next weeks games, I’m happy to help!  I mean seeing as how all 5 of my predictions ALL CAME TRUE yesterday!  The Raiders are most certainly NOT “America’s Team”!

OK, back to the regular post!

So sorry to not have this ready for this mornings subscription email, hopefully you will all still see it and be able to take advantage.

I’ve never been a big Black Friday shopper.  I’m sure I’m missing lots of great deals and bargains, but crowds, packed parking lots, sifting through sale piles – just doesn’t work for me.  But I LOVE online shopping.  As I type, I’m sitting in my PJs with my favorite cup of coffee and our kids are playing happily with my husband – A PERFECT SHOPPING EXPERIENCE!

I thought I would compile a post of all the great deals I’ve received through emails that I know I will be taking advantage of (from home, in my pjs, with my coffee).  Hope these help you out too!

Land of Nod ChristmasPlacemat

Land of Nod – Free Shipping at The Land of Nod! Ends 11/30, code FROSTY. One of my favorite kids websites.  Great toys – both vintage and current.  Great holiday decorations.  Fun holiday placemats, etc.  And on the non holiday side – they sell my favorite Phil and Teds high Chair. LOTS of sure cute and reasonable storage options. And they do a great job of giving you good choices for everything.  Grams and Gramps are being super sweet and giving the girls their kitchen for Christmas (I think!!!)  So I’m headed to the site to stock up on cute kitchen accessories.

Minted - For a limited time they are offering Free Shipping on Personalized gifts of $75 or more, code GIFTSHIP09 and Free Shipping on Holiday Cards until November 30th, code AFSHIP09. Love everything on this site!  The have FABULOUS holiday card options!  It’s my new favorite go to site. And I just helped a friend with her Holiday Party invite.  The invite was not only darling, and said the people were wonderful to work work with, and the paper quality was excellent.  I also think their personalized skinny wrap address labels are a great gift options (Think I’ll pick some up for stocking stuffers). Minted has a ton of cute (read – NOT cutsey), affordable gift options like personalized note cards, as well as holiday cards. You are given lots of ways to customze, and can speak with a designer if you need extra help.

Tiny Prints – $10 off $49, $20 off $99, $40 off 199 with code THANKSALE. This is a staple “Go-To” site.  I’ve been using them for YEARS.  Hayden’s birth announcement, and my sisters Girls Weekend invite both came from Tiny Prints.  The quality is good, great design choices between the Wedding Diva, Corporate and Tiny Prints sites.  You can preview your custom cards, and they ship QUICKLY.  Can’t go wrong.  My sister did her Holiday card fro them last year and it was darling.

PB Teen img24q

Pottery Barn Teen – 20% off on all bean bags.  The cover is now $40 ($50) and the insert is $99 ($129).  We love this oversized bean bag.  Addie has used since she was a baby. I like it more than a bouncer half the time, and then she was able to sit just right when she was learning to drink a bottle by herself.  Now she loves to sit on it and “read” her books, or sit with Daddy and read, or she a 4 friends all sit on it together and flip through books.  SUper cute!  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!

Pioneer Woman Cookbook

As always, there is Amazon.  Who doesn’t love a good book for a gift?  A great cookbook (Love The Pioneer Woman cookbook!!), kids books, or of course the all awesome Kindle which I totally covet.  Check out their Black Friday Page for any deals that might strike your fancy.  I love that Amazon sells EVERYTHING and that you can almost always get Super Saver Free Shipping.

Xpecting MSM175mainsuedelg

Expecting Maternity – 15% off everything, (excluding stroller products).  LOVE this Maternity store.  Thankfully it is right around the corern from me, but they have a great website as well.  I have not checked with them, but I bet they will extend the discount to online shopping as well (or at least over the phone).  1.888.XPECTNG (973.2864).  I personally plan on picking up a couple more Michael Stars T-shirts.  GREAT basic that I get compliments every day I wear the ones I have.

Gap Red Footsie

Gap – Free Shipping thru December 15th (no code needed, just select at check out).  And up to 20-50% off on Kids, PJs, Jeans, Toys, Outerwear and Cozy Fleece, ends Sunday 11/29 – I love Gap jeans, and PJs.  I ordered red fleece footsie PJs for December (The girls look so cute!  Like little Christmas Elves!), stocked up on jeans since Addie grows about a foot a week, and got cute white fleece sweatshirts for both girls.  Good basic.

FD tctravel

Felix Doolittle – 30% off all note cards and baking labels, code Thankyou09. I love Felix Doolittle.  He is a wonderful artist and the note cards, return address stamps, play date cards and book plates all look like someone hand painted something just for your.  The people are all WONDERFUL to work with and have helped me so often when I need a gift printed and shipped quickly.

My last one is for Neiman Marcus. They have 2 things to take advantage of: Today only, spend $100 or more between 9:00A and noon and receive a $50 gift card. You have to go to the store, but it’s could be worth it for an extra $50 in your wallet.  The second one is online,  Today only, earn 4000 InCircle points when you spend $100 0r more on their 90 for 09 gifts and use your NM Card, code FRIDAY. I love racking up InCircle Points.  Come January I can usually use my points to buy myself a fun new perfume to start the new year off with! Lastly, Free Shipping at any price with free gift wrap, code NMNOV.

I have to say, if I participated in Black Friday at all, online would definitely be the way to do it. Lord knows I ain’t getting out of bed to throw down with a bunch of strangers before the sun is up!

I participated this year. My mom and I got up at 5:30 and drove to Target. But that is about all we did. I did get a great online deal on Thursday for my boyfriends Christmas present! I think I prefer the online shopping…but Gilmore Girls for $15…can’t really beat that.

I love me a good online deal – especially at photo websites, but I just can’t resist the lure of Black Friday shopping. It’s the thrill of the hunt and the sweet taste of victory when you get the perfect gift for only $9….Ah, only 363 days til Black Friday again :).
