WOW.
It’s Friday. HOW did that happen. I swear it was Monday yesterday.
Maybe that’s because the clothes I put in the washing machine on Monday…
are still in the washing machine today….
At least I managed to pick up the dry cleaning today (even though it was ready on Tuesday).
OK enough of all that. Next week is THANKSGIVING!
And my favorite thing that I am so thankful for right this very minute is all of you that have taken a chance on me and stopped by to visit this site.
(And to my cute girls, and my AMAZING husband who has been pulling lots of extra weight around the house the past few weeks so that I could write all these posts! Thank you Honey!!! I know you can’t wait to make a joke about who is actually pulling more “weight” right now with all my *pregnantness*, but I’m still going to be thankful for you.) Our house is kind of a disaster zone right now, everyone has had to chip in to help a little…
My Favorite Everything will be a month old on Saturday/tomorrow. We are just shy of 4000 visitors as I write this post Thursday night, which is SO HUGE in my little world!!! I truly can’t thank you all enough and hope that you continue to come back to visit and share the site with friends and family. Be sure to sign up for daily emails (at the end of this post or at the top right corner of the page), then you don’t have to check in every day, I’ll come to you! You can read me when you want, or delete me as you wish. But I’m hoping you’ll want to read me.
OK – back to business!
1. The weekly menu & shopping list for next week are posted. I would love to hear how you’ve liked the menus so far and if there is something that I can do to improve them for you.
2. We have a winner for The Pioneer Woman Cookbook.….Whoo-Hoo, congrats Marian T!! Hope this helps you cook for the 35 people coming to your house!! (WOW that’s a lot!!) Please email me, shanna@myfavoriteeverything.com, and let me know where the book should be sent.
3. Be sure to check out the post “Look who is coming…” and leave a comment before Sunday night. The winner will be announced Monday. Such a cute book and a great holiday or birthday gift for any child!
4. If you did not see Thursday’s post, take some time this weekend to read about Casey Cochran who is running a marathon BAREFOOT on December 5th. Be thankful that we have shoes, and please help those that don’t. It’s so easy to help!
5. If you get a minute to vote, even if you already have, you can vote EVERYDAY if you really wanted to, just click this link. No need to do anything once you get to the Top Mommy Blog Site, your click on the link is your vote. We are soooo close to being in the top 10! Any help is appreciated! But even more than your vote, I am so grateful to you for sharing this site with your friends and family! Thank you for passing it along.
LASTLY, for all the work you had to do above, I have a fantabulous treat! One of my sweet sister-in-law’s most favorite desserts I make is Toffee Chocolate Pecan Pie, a GREAT twist on Pecan Pie and so easy. You’re family will think they have died and gone to Heaven!!!
TOFFEE CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE
Stop and Smell the Rosemary: Recipes and Traditions to Remember
1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
4 oz chocolate covered toffee bars (I use SKOR Bars)
4 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup light corn syrup
4 Tbl unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tbl vanilla extract
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup pecans, coarsely chopped
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cover bottom on a 9-inch pie crust with chopped chocolate-covered toffee bars. Combine eggs, corn syrup, butter, sugar and vanilla. Mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Pout mixture over broken chocolate-covered toffee bars in pie crust. Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until done.
Have a fantastic weekend! Looking forward to seeing you all back here on Monday!!!

As I sat here waiting for the coffee to brew and reading your post for today I realized what an integral part of my morning routine you have become! I find myself skipping by the other emails to pop in for a visit with my friend, a tip for the day, and a reminder that we all have laundry that needs to be done:). Have a great Friday!

I love that! Thanks Andrea! I feel the same…I actually keep up with more friends, old and new, through this site now. My sister lives out of the country at the moment and says that getting a post is like getting en email from me to her everyday….she misses it on the weekends :-) Thank you for reading over your coffee! Have a great Friday!
