friday, friday, friday!!

This week has been a total blur, not really sure HOW we got to Friday!  And I really can’t believe that Christmas is next week, WOW….nor can I believe that my darling right hand will be on vacation all next week.  Just me and the kids and no car, I see LOTS of walking adventures in our future!

But back to the season.  Isn’t it fun to receive all of the holiday cards from friends and family?!  Definitely a favorite part of the season for me!  I really like how ours turned out this year!  I know I’m a bit biased.  But I’ve had quite a few people ask me for the details, and since I love to share resources….

Holiday Card

  1. Susie at Zee Studio (my FAVORITE web designer) designed the card for me.  I knew the basic direction and then asked Susie to work some magic. (Be sure to enter her blog design giveaway!)
  2. She very cleverly matched the colors up to Paper Source (a FAVORITE paper supplier).  I ordered Chartreuse envelopes.
  3. Susie gave me print ready art which I sent to Overnight Prints (a now FAVORITE online printer).  We ordered a “Rack Card” and I added rounded corners to give it a little design edge.  Great option for other cards as well (birthdays?), I think the minimum order quantity is 25 and it took about a week.
  4. I love my return address stamp (a housewarming gift to myself when we bought the house last year).  Sarah & Abraham (a FAVORITE) can help you out with your own. I use it for everything, all year long!
  5. And then splurged with the custom postage stamps from Stamps.com.  I opted not to do return address stickers or address labels and put the money into the postage stamps, which I LOVE.  Again Zee Studio designed the postage stamp from the My Favorite Everything logo, and then matched the colors to the holiday card.
  6. I LOVE the ready made, but custom card option of Minted, Tiny Prints, Kodak Gallery, and Erin Condren…but I also like to go a little EXTRA custom sometimes.  And this year, I really wanted to use the 4 photos from our past 3 years: the day we came home from our honeymoon, bringing Addie home, bringing Hayden home, and now both girls with #3 on the way. (The last 3 photos were taken by Sandy Heit, who you all KNOW is a FAVORITE photographer!)

And speaking of the holidays, next week’s menu and shopping list will be posted Saturday morning along with the Amy Anderson BLING winner (be sure to enter, Friday is the last day!) Don’t forget she will be at Hamptons Salon Friday and Saturday this week from 9-5 for custom orders (great way to cross the last few names off the list!!)

I’m off to get ready for my husband’s company party tonight
(I think I might actually take a shower AND dry my hair!)

Of course they are all making fun of me for it being
my third straight year of holiday parties that I can’t drink…fun!

Have a FAVORITE Friday!  See you here tomorrow!

I’m so glad they printed okay! And I still can’t believe we managed to get them done before 2010… :)

So excited about the printer option! I have used a few people, but they either had to high of quantity minimum or too high of price…these guys look just right. Thanks!
