My Favorite Travel Items for the Busy Theta Mom
When I was asked by Shanna to guest post, I was so excited! It’s a wonderful opportunity for me to share some of my favorite things that have helped me immensely as a Theta Mom and I absolutely adore her blog. Although there are many products I would recommend, there are three that really stand out especially when traveling with my kids. So, here are the three products that are my absolute must-haves:
1. The Snack Trap
Before I was introduced to this product from a friend, I was the mom in the store picking up the trail of goldfish my son would leave behind. The worst part was when the million of crumbs from his snack fell out of the plastic bag he was holding. It was always a clean-up nightmare in the middle of the store. Meet The Snack Trap:
Perfect little fingers are able to gently reach into the top of the cup to pull out just the right amount snack. No spills! No crumbs! No mess! And my son loves it. This product will sustain many drops to the floor without crumbs falling out. Especially when I take my kids out shopping, I never leave my house without The Snack Trap. It keeps my kids occupied and I don’t have to worry about picking up a mess because nothing is left behind.
2. The Superyard XT
I can’t tell you how much of a life-saver this product has been over the years for both my husband and I. We used it with our son and we are currently using it with our 16 month-old daughter. Meet The Superyard XT:
Whenever I need 20 minutes of “free hands,” I place my daughter in The Superyard with some of her toys. She is able to walk around and she has her toys to keep her occupied. By having my daughter play within The Superyard, it buys me time to clean up, wash the dishes and throw in a load of laundry. The best part is that I don’t have to worry about chasing her around the house. I can actually step away from the room for a few minutes with piece of mind, knowing she is safe within The Superyard. This is always the first thing packed in our car on the way to grandma’s house!
3. Eddie Bauer Shopping Cart Cover
I never put my kids in a shopping cart without the protection of the shopping cart cover. The beauty of this product is the fact that the germs stay away! My daughter is unable to put her mouth to the cart since it is protected by the cover. Meet The Eddie Bauer Shopping Cart Cover:
It fits easily onto all carts and some products even have some toys attached to the ends of the handle. This product by Eddie Bauer is a great design and completely functional. I never have to worry about germs when I use the shopping cart cover. This product stays in the trunk of my car (right next to the stroller), so I am always prepared when I go out shopping with the kids!
So, whether you are taking a trip across the country or you are just traveling to grandma’s house, be sure to pack The Snack Trap, The Superyard and The Shopping Cart Cover to make your life easier as a Theta Mom!

what snack trap is that? My son has the munckin one and he pretty much dumps out all the cheerios in about 30 seconds…. its also interesting that my son is one year, and he has only sat in a shopping cart a handful of times because we dont have a car and we walk (w the stroller) everywhere! i try to wipe them down with a wipe first…

Our snack trap is a don’t-leave-the-house-without item! I love it. Although, when we first got it, my oldest hated it, because she would get her hand stuck inside. Haha. It took her a little time, but she caught on to it.

I think my little H needs one of those snack-trappers…unlike his neatnik older sister, he leaves a trail of fish/O’s/puffs whenever eating on the go.

My shopping cart cover was probably the best baby item I had. My son wanted to put his mouth on everything and I couldn’t bear the thought of his mouth on a dirty shopping cart!
So glad to see Theta Mom on here!! :)
