Holiday Hand Wreath ~ Oh how time flies!

I love this wreath. When I opened our box of Christmas decorations this year and saw it again, I just couldn’t believe it had been a whole year! I’m not the first to tell you about this little project, but I will be the one to tell you to DO IT. This one only has Hayden’s little hand from last year (Addie wanted no part in making a flat hand….).  Little Hay was only 10 months.  Both girls finger painted loads of green paper, and then mommy worked on the labor of love after they had gone to bed to cut out about 30 hands.

Don’t forget to put one on the back, to remember exactly how old your Little was. Because I loved this wreath so much, I for sure was making another this year. It’s pretty simple. Trace your Little’s hand. (I got Piper’s after her nap ~ promise she wasn’t left out!)

Then grab that art project from the other day. You know, the one that let you dry your hair and answer a few emails??

Start tracing their hands. I like to cut out 3 or 4 at a time depending on how thick the paper is. You’ll need about 30 if you want a “fluffy” looking wreath.

Cut out a big hole from paper plate to give yourself a ring, then start gluing the hands on. I like to use Mounting Tape cut into small square (it’s just easier, no dry time and I can get the project done super quick).

This is last year’s hanging on one of our backyard doors.

This is the one with all 3 girls’ hands from this year.

Oh and that “extra” project I mentioned? We made “ornaments” to hang from the backyard windows. There are 6 in total and they look really fun!

Happy Holidays to you and your Littles! Be sure to do something fun to create a memory for years to come!
