Sometimes you just don’t even realize that something simple you do would be a great tip to pass along! This past Friday as I was walking out the door to pick up all the babes at the Grans house (Grandma & Grandpa rocked and took ALL the babes for an overnight date!!!! Ahhh sleep, my long lost friend!) My Latte Fairy friend (the one that normally sends me texts that read ~ “You home? I’m bringing you a latte” {Heaven & I both love her!}, this particular morning sent a text “I’m walking out my door at 9 and heading to the park, wanna join me?”
Why, yes I do! How fun!
IÂ grabbed my keys and headed to the door. As I walked through the garage I saw our new bright green park toy bag and threw it in the back of the car too.
I think because most kids are back to school now, we pretty much had the whole park to ourselves. And by fluke, another sweet family we knew was there too…all of our kids had great time with the big bag of fun we brought….and as more moms started to arrive and more kids noticed the bag of fun, I started to get comments…
“Where did you get that great park bag???”
“Great park trucks, where did you find them???”
It never even dawned on me that anyone would find this a helpful tip!!
My bad.
So here goes. Our park bag is a large mesh laundry bag from the Container Store.
I love it because:
1.) It’s big and can fit EVERYTHING
2.) It’s mesh so I can shake all the dirt and sand before it finds a new home in my car
3.) It’s bright so I can always find it at the park, in my car, and in the garage.
The only downfall is that it’s a light mesh material, so it wont last until the end of time with the beating up of park toys, but at $5.99 it’s not a major investment either.
The toys I just bought a couple weekends ago when I was walking through CVS. Have you noticed that places like pharmacies, and hardware stores have their park and beach toys on sale right now? It is the end of summer after all! Anyway, I picked up plastic kid golf club sets $1.99 from $10, plastic bucket and shovel sets $1 from $8, and plastic truck and bucket sets $1.99 from $10. What a bargain!!! I can’t stand spending a ton on park stuff that’s about to get worked!
So there you have it, if you have a ton of park toys you need to wrangle in, grab a mesh bag. If you need some new toys, HURRY before the local shops all run out!
Good Luck!

LOL, as soon as I saw this post… (before actually reading it) I thought to myself, “Shanna must have gotten that at the Container Store.”
:)
Awesome find though, and I may have to go and grab one for myself.

I use a dry cleaning bag (same thing) and just picked up a white one from Target. Super duper great idea! I’m always keeping my eyes peeled for clearance and $1 section toys to use at the park or beach.
