resort, laundry, no kids…oh my!

Last week I had the privilege and pleasure of attending “laundry training” with Bosch in Arizona…seriously, how awesome is that!  Bosch hosted a “Hampers to Hangers” event to offer laundry tips as well as organizational tips from The Container Store.  Sounds so silly to WANT to learn better tips for doing your laundry, but that is exactly what we did and it was amazing!  Not only was Bosch an exceptional host, but we stayed at a beautiful resort in Scottsdale.  So this week, I am going to take a little time to share with you some of my favorite things from the trip.

My fabulous friend, Julie from Angry Julie Monday put it perfectly when she said, they had me at breakfast….did they ever!!

But being a designer in my past life and having just worked on a resort with an incredible design team (so for 5 years of my life I could not turn off the critical eye that took in every detail of a guest room, reception area, spa, bathroom set up, quality of bath towel, room service tray, etc).  The InterContinental Montelucia Resort & Spa had ME at the shower (that was big enough for me and my entire family, but I was able to enjoy it ALL BY MYSELF! Ahhhh, let there be PEACE and QUIET!)

Although they might also have had me with the staff. Every person that I met was so accommodating, helpful, pleasant.  Truly, just a joy.  My mother-in-law was actually walking Piper in her stroller around the resort when a staff member asked if she was lost.  When she explained that she was only taking a walk, he offered to give her a tour!  Piper was sold and says she wants to go back when she is 10 weeks old!  Also, if you ever go, please tell Frank in the restaurant that Mrs Coady says hello!  He made our morning each day and will most certainly do the same for you!

But I do need to share photos of the resort with you, breathtaking!  As my mother-in-law said, it’s a very social place.  They have created countless outdoor intimate gathering areas where small groups can enjoy visiting and take in the beauty of the outdoors.  Perfect environment for families, couples, even if you’re traveling alone.

Cabanas outside the pool area

The main pool with the view of the spectacular mountains

If  you eat here, be sure to enjoy brunch….Heaven!

Relax outside your guest room

Or by the pool

Enjoy a Bougainvillea alter to get married

Or beautiful veranda area

This path took us to our guest room

Reception area near the banquet rooms

Need to have a meeting?

Front Courtyard leading to the restaurant (don’t forget to say hey to Frank!)

Front Courtyard….I love this tree with the lanterns

Just a little garden area, but I loved the carefree design of it

And this?
This lead to the spa…

Has anyone EVER asked what they can do to
“continue creating perfect moments for you”???

I think the stone….

And the stars mesmerized me…

I might need to go lay down in this relaxation room
(and never get up…)

Had to take a photo of myself…am I really here?
And truly, I don’t have a child clinging to each leg?!!??

If I am ever in Scottsdale, Arizona again, you’ll have me back Montelucia!
Thank you for a memorable visit!

(Do you think I can have another one of those candy bowls sent to my pillow at home??
What a great way to end every day!)

Continue to check in this week…I can’t wait to share all that we learned from Bosch!
