wordless wednesday ~ body art

I think the whole body art thing is still lingering from Canada. And honestly, my tip for you is you just gotta go with it sometimes in order to keep both the peace and your sanity.

It all began with drawing pictures to hide an ugly temporary wall…..

But then Addie happened.

Love it! My little guy always loves to draw on himself too, whenever the markers come out for a project.

Shanna, what type of markers are these? Did they wash off well? My wild flower of a child would LOVE this! Thanks, Andrea

They are just regular washable crayola pens. The trick I’ve found with washable pair and markers is not to let it sit on anything longer than an hour. Clothes, skin, upholstery, counters, etc. Not that it doesn’t come off after an hour, just a little tougher. Definitely makes for a fun time. Oh, you also want to be sure they understand they only draw on things other than paper for special times!!

Almost anything seems to come off skin eventually (clothes, walls, not so much). When my two were on swim team, we’d cover them in permanent Sharpie ink to keep track of their races and show team spirit — “eat my bubbles,” etc. You’d sometimes see traces the next day, but not too much longer. I’m definitely seeing swim stars in your future Shanna!

How fun!!! Looks like a great little “art” project. I’m not sure I’m brave enough to attempt this though…. I’d be afraid they would start the project at school on their friends :-) LOL! I love the photos too! Everyone has a glowing smile. So fun!
