January!
Wow! If you’re reading this, then you survived the holiday chaos!Â
Congratulations!
I’m fully expecting my Dr to say on Tuesday that I need to QUIT DOING SO MUCH….but not quite sure how that works. How do you keep up with 2 Littles, and your life, and the holidays and not stay completely and TOTALLY busy?!?!
My husband turned to me last night and said he couldn’t believe today was only Sunday, that it had felt like the longest week…..I just giggled at him and said he had only been home since Wednesday afternoon – try doing it all for an ACTUAL week! But in all honesty, I’m very lucky because he is a very hands on Daddy, our Littles are VERY lucky!! I don’t know how our family would function without the day-to-day things that he does. We always come first to him. Thank you, Hon!
I have posted a new weekly menu, shopping list and January “To Do” list. Hope that these help or inspire you!
Few housekeeping items:
A lot of people have emailed suggestions as well as asked for help with certain topics. Please know that I have received all of your emails. I am so sorry that I am not replying as quickly as I had hoped that I could! Balancing the blog with family through the holidays was a little hectic! I’m hoping to have a better handle on it going forward. I’m working on getting answers posted for you all.
A sampling of the questions that I’ve received are:
- Design tips for hanging pictures?
- How to move in an organized way (especially when your also pregnant)?
- How to balance work & pregnancy?
- How to find a nanny and the process we went through?
If there are any other questions out there, please drop me a note in the suggestion box, or else use the contact page. I’m either going to try and answer questions 1 post a week, OR if something sounds like it needs a more detailed answer, then it may get its own post.
One of my big goals for this month is to finish organizing every cabinet, closet and drawer in our house. If you have not already read the posts on some of the organizing, check out these posts with my current projects along with some suggestions:
Making lists, kicking booties, taking names.
Looking forward to a great and busy year with you all!!

I just popped over via Theta mom, and I have to say – firstly that I love the look of your blog! It’s so light and bright and gorgeous!
And secondly, I need to organise some cupboards very badly. Actually, they ARE organised badly, which is why I need to fix that! And additionally I need to sort out stuff that lives on TOP of cupboards.
So I’ll be having a look at what you’re suggesting for that!

Shanna I have been wondering the same thing too! We (your faithful readers) have become habitual in our checking in of all things FAVORITE. I’m sure you’ll find a way to make it all work, you seem MORE than capable of keeping many balls in the air! Maybe a guest blogger or a PA will be what the doc orders! Enjoy your last trimester because soon he/she will be here and you’ll miss the kicks (or in my case kidney punches) that keep you up at night!
Hang in there!

I definitely have wheels in motion for handling it all! I hope you will all like it! I hope I can stay true to the “all things FAVORITE!” and that you all will continue to enjoy the ride with me!

I love the questions posed…I can’t wait to hear what you have to say!
And I SOO struggle with organization……I need like a professional organizational makeover or something….does that exist? : )
