I’m big on muti-tasking, and when people or products can do the same, it’s a big gold star in my book. (If I could find my book….or my roll of gold star stickers….but you get the drift!)
Aquaphor is one of the wonderful, mutli-tasking products for me. You’re probably all saying I’m preaching to the choir right now, but SERIOUSLY, Aquaphor has saved me more than a few times.
First ~ Do you rememeber my mentioning it HERE? A booty LIFESAVER for long car and plane rides.
Second ~ ESSENTIAL for mom’s cracked heels (did I just tell the internet I have cracked heels??? Oh my…) Ok, I do, or rather I don’t, when I am diligent and slather on some Aquaphor Healing Ointment and my socks at night. Heading into flip flop weather here in Southern California, I urge you to start working on those feet Mommies!
Third ~ Keep a small tube in your purse, when you find you can’t get to your makeup bag, throw a little on your lips….it gives you a smidgen of gloss and helps you feel and look a little refreshed (not to mention it’s moisturizing your lips for smooching!)
Fourth ~ Do you battle Excema at all? All three of our girls suffer from it in varying degrees. Not too over the top thankfully, but enough that a weather shift causes some itchy, dry patches. Rub a little Aqauphor Healing Ointment and you’ll have it gone, and a happy face on your Little, in no time. I also like to use their Gentle Wash & Shampoo, finding that it helps from drying the girls baby skin out, and decreasing the Ecema flare ups.
So that is my tip of the day for you.
If you don’t use Aquaphor, go buy some now. And if you do, then I’m sending some gold stars for your book (once I find the Gold Stars…and my book….)
I love the stuff so much that if you disregard the laundry I was folding in this photo, then I’ll draw a name on Friday and send you a little Aquaphor package. All you need to do is answer this question in the comments ~~ Do you use Aquaphor? What’s your favorite tip or trick to share?

I’ve never used it, but we have a long plane trip coming up and I will be giving it a try! Thanks for the tip!

We loooooove it! Right now, I’m using it on my son’s chin & hoping it helps heal his most recent boo boo.

We love aquaphor for my son with eczema! We’ve been able to keep his skin so nice for over a year without needing his $$ prescription.

I do not use it, but something pretty similar. I’ve been wanting to try it because a friend of mine, who has ezcema like me, swears by it.
As for tips:
- luke warm water to bathe and wash hands, especially in the winter. anything hotter will strip moisture out of skin.
- instead of wiping hands dry, pat dry.
- chapstick is a multiuse product. I use it for a chapped nose AND chapped hands in the winter. Obviously the tube is too small for the hands, but if I have it in a small jar I use it.

I love aquaphor!! We just make sure to put it on right after my little one gets out of the bath and it helps with his dry flaky skin. I hope I win!! -Diane

We use a ton of it too! Our little guy has terrible excema and like you this stuff just does the trick!

I love aquaphor! I am totally addicted to the stuff. I started using it when my baby was born. It was some of the free stuff they gave me at the hospital. My daughter is 5 now!! I have tubes and containers of it all over my house. My sister made fun of me when she helped me pack a cupboard to move and she found 30 tubes. I put it on everyone and everything that comes into my house. I can’t stand chappy lips. I love it for my fingernail beds and my lips

Haaaaaa! 3- tubes! Sounds like it’s favorite for sure!

I have never used it! I definitely want to try it now! Hmm great advice, can’t wait to get some for my girls.

Laundry? What laundry in your picture? I thought it was a decorative backdrop for your lotion set up. Anyway, I’ve only had a sample tube of Aquaphor and loved it. I too have cracked heels and will definitely give it a try to fix that problem.

Lord love ya! Thank you for not seeing it :-) Good luck with the heels!

I use it all over my girls faces when we are in palm desert and mammoth. I put it on their faces at night and they wake up in the morning with the softest cheeks! It tackles sunburns and dryness with ease! It truly is a miracle product!,,

Love, love, love the thought of extra soft cheeks in the morning :-) I’m definitely trying that!

i love it on my cuticles!

We love Aquaphor. I use it on diaper rash and on my son’s excema. I am traveling to Atlanta in May and will definitely use it on every diaper change like you suggested!
[Reply]
Crossing my fingers for your Atlanta trip! The other plus is your hands wont smell like zinc oxide the whole time (even when you wash them a billion times!) Have a great trip!

I keep it in my makeup bag for dry cuticles. Just wish it wasn’t so greasy – but it sure does the trick!

I have not tried cuticles yet, but will now, thanks for the tip!

We LOVE Aquaphor at my house! I always, always have a ton of it stocked up – and that’s what my tip concerns. If you use a lot of it like I do, it can get REALLY expensive. So I buy all of mine through Amazon’s Club Mom and Subscribe & Save options (which together will give you a 30% discount). Since it qualifies as a baby item, you can also apply any of those $10 off coupons that come in your Parenting and Baby magazines. I just got two of the really big tubs of Aquafor for only $7 dollars out of pocket! Woop, woop!

That is a GREAT tip! Thank you!!

You’re welcome! I love your blog, so just trying to give back. LOL

I’ve used it a time or two, but never regularly. Would definitely give it a try for both myself and my 5 mo old!

I just started using this yesterday after I read your other posts about it! My son has very dry skin that forms little bumps and after just 1 use they are getting better already!! And I did the foot thing last night – it works like a charm!! Thanks for the tips!

I LOVE hearing success stories like that! Thank you for sharing :-)

I love to use it on my hands after washing dishes. and on elbows…
[Reply]
I have not tried that one! Good tip that I needed for sure!! Thx!

I’ve never used aquaphor put I’m looking for a new product since my son’s eczema won’t clear up w/my other products. I always love hearing what works for other since there’s so many products out there I can’t always try.
Thanks for the helpful advice

I have some around that I use on my daughter, but I never thought to use it myself. I have a rare type of eczema on my thumbs mostly and it’s terribly painful and the skin dies and cracks and falls off. I have a prescription ointment for flare ups, but they are CONSTANT and I can’t use it for more than 2 weeks at a time and I need something that works well to moisturize in the in between times. I am going to try this with gloves at night. Thumbs crossed that it works! :)

This is great stuff! They gave this to me to put on my skin after I had radiation for cancer. Amazing results.

Aquaphor is A-MAZ-ING! We use it like crazy. I have one who bites her lower lip occasionally, and ends up with this weird, red half circle rash halfway down her dang chin. So attractive! Aquaphor will clear it up BY MORNING. Works better than anything. I also have little ones with eczema, and it works great on those dry patches. It’s the ONLY thing I’ve found that doesn’t sting their delicate skin. Aquaphor for the win!
