I love the laundry tips that you have all been sharing over the past few weeks! Definitely a plus to being a part of Arm & Hammer’s Switch & Save Challenge! If you’ve missed any laundry room tips, you can find them both in the posts and comments, HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE!
A couple recent ones that I thought were both cute & good ideas…
Miranda shared: “My favorite way to get my kids to help with the laundry is by showing her how to make bubbles out of laundry detergent as a reward for helping me do the laundry.”
{I have got to try this! It sounds so fun!}
Melissa shared: “My three year old LOVES to put the clothes in the washer and then press the buttons to start the washer and dryer!”
{I agree, Hayden loves this too, then when she’s not looking I hit the “child lock” button so she can’t undo anything or try to take anything out… you might end up with this on your hands…}
Last week I mentioned the Arm & Hammer Essentials Fabric Softener Sheets, and how I’ve been using them for Linen Storage, so I thought I would share how I currently store most of our linens.
The sheets that I change out frequently, like crib sheets and bunk bed sheets, I keep in cabinets next to the kids beds. But blankets and seasonal sheets, extra shower curtain panels, etc….are all kept in my hall closet.
The labeled clear storage boxes are a life saver! And storing these items after drying them with the Arm & Hammer Essentials Fabric Softener Sheets have been KEY! Love how clean and fresh smelling everything is no matter how long it has been stored in a plastic box!
I would love to hear your storage tips too. Where do you store your linens? Any helpful tips to share?? Arm & Hammer has another $25 Visa Gift Card to giveaway, love that!! Just leave us a tip below and you entered!
Giveaway closes at midnight PST Saturday, August 6th. Good Luck!

what a great idea as far as storing bedding and items you don’t use that much… I am going to have to try that as mine are currently heaped in the laundry room awaiting a good washing lol.. I do use lavender scented space bags for seasonal items, and it seems to work well-but I’ve still got a few items I want to put away, and was wondering how to do it after washing them, so this is a great idea!

I use adjustable shelves to store linens (in the order of most used) plus a small pack of baking soda or dryer sheets to keep them fresh.

I store linens in wicker baskets in the laundry room. When we have guests, I rewash them to make sure they’re the freshest possible.

Store sheet sets in the pillow case. When you need to change sheets, each bed set is all together inside the pillowcase!

I do the same thing guess I should have read the comments…

I wash my sheets sets and fold and store them inside a pillow case so that way the entire sheet set is always together and I also put in the middle a dryer sheet for that clean smell to stay in.

We store a lot of our smaller sized linens in fabric storage drawers (the ones designed to use in bookshelves). They’re the perfect size and look so nice on our linen closet shelves.

I like my pillow cases nice and crisp, so I don’t store our sheets inside one. But, I fold the pillowcases and the flat sheet, then fold the fitted sheet and “wrap” the others into the fitted sheet. Its the same concept – keeping everything together so you just pull one bundle out and you know it’s all there.

When I do my laundry, I make sure I use a good softener. When dried I stock them nicely by color in my closet, and I use lavender sachets to keep the smell of clean.

WOW! What great ideas! My linens get washed and put right back on the beds. With 7 beds in the house, I don’t have enough storage space to have multiple sets for each bed. I just hope I get the right ones on the right bed! : )

always in a drawer with some lavender… always a treat to take out a towel or sheets that smell so good!

I second the lavender. I grow it in my garden and dry it myself, and put a sprig between each sheet/towel/blanket.

We use clear storage bins, also. I keep our drawers smelling fresh by keeping home made potpourri sachets in the bins.

I use clear storage bins to store clothing that my oldest son has outgrown. We save them for the younger 2 so I label each box by size. Helps keep me organized!
