{family fun} photo booth fun!

Normally this post would have fallen under {home & garden} for parties, however, I happen to think this would be fun to do even for a play date or weekend activity, or even a family photo shoot. So I decided to post it in {family fun}.

One of the activities I chose to do at the girls Three Ring Circus Birthday last year was a Photo Booth. I checked into renting one of the machines you see at county fairs and such, but everything I found was a little more than we had in mind.

So instead I enlisted the help of my most favorite Orange County kids photographer, Sandy Heit.  We decided to use the girls playroom as the “booth”.  My sister drew some fun circus artwork on the chalkboard as a backdrop.  Then with a few great props ~ giant glasses, rainbow wig, mustache, clown noses, pink glasses, party hats, colorful balloons, a great red chair, and of course any toy in the playroom….and we were in business! Below are a few of my favorite shots….

It was a fun activity for the kids, and I absolutely love Sandy’s work with kids! Plus I was able to send each family a thank you note along with their photo. (Albeit I sent them over 6 months after the party…KID YOU NOT ~ 6 MONTHS, that’s how off my life and days were this past year!!)

Whether you hire someone, enlist a friend or family member, or just do it for a play date, Photo Booths are definitely a FAVORITE IDEA!

Our Wedding ~ Part 2 ~ So this is how we ended up with 3 babies!

I should have known when this photo was taken that we would be in trouble. These are my bridesmaids. 4 of them are pregnant. And my Matron of Honor, who is not in the photo as she was not able to travel at the last minute, was pregnant.

And my wedding coordinator was pregnant.

And our photographer was pregnant, 8 months pregnant! And she took this photo on the hottest day I’ve ever experienced in Hawaii, while walking backwards.

And then this one a few moments later. Still backwards. Walking down the stairs to the beach.

I’m fairly certain I could not have done that at 8 months with any of my babies!

This picture should have warned me too.  But I was just too taken with the cute guy at the time…

I blame all of the people above for our having 3 babies under 3!

And I thank them all immensely too!

sexy, smoky party eyes!

Holiday 33

With all the holiday parties upon us, it’s time to put on our “A Game” and look like the hot mamas (sisters, grandma’s, ladies!!) that we are!  I enlisted the help of FABULOUS Misha from Holiday Salon to help us all out.  She is my favorite Orange County make-up go-to girl and knows all the best tricks to make your assets work for you! You will look even more amazing once she has worked her magic!  Misha helped me with my “hot smoky eyes” for Halloween that my husband loved!  And the makeup stayed in place for all our parties that day with no touch ups…and Misha applied it at 1:00pm that day!

So here goes, 5 minutes to hot, sexy eyes!

1. Draw a thick line of black eyeliner pencil at lash base on your top eye lid.

2. Smudge pencil blending up toward the crease with a smudge brush so that the color fades as it goes away from eyelash line.
